AYEDI is a 100% volunteer-run organization and relies on the generous support of our community and grant funders in order to ensure that we can continue to provide meaningful programming to Afghan youth. AYEDI has a track record of providing high quality, high impact programs. To date, our initiatives have impact over 5000 youth, encouraged over 900 volunteer hours, and have equipped over 100 youth with life skills and community leadership experiences. AYEDI’s flagship Afghan Youth Mentorship Program has been recognized by the 2021 Toronto Mayor’s Community Safety Award. The interest and impact arising from our programs demonstrates the critical need for an effective Afghan youth-led organization like AYEDI.
